CUMEDIAE aisbl team is pleased to be actively involved in the pilot project Kingston: Networks of Culture (K:NOC), funded by the European Union and aimed at supporting international cultural relations and cooperation between the European and global cultural sectors.
In particular, the project is collecting, processing and disseminating research on the presence of creatives and their added value in Kingston, the capital of Jamaica, with the support of the European Delegation on the ground and the coordination of the Brussels-based Cultural Relations Platform (CRP).
In addition, a further objective of K:NOC is the identification and engagement of European stakeholders interested in collaborating with Jamaican cultural actors, providing policy advice on structures to support Kingston’s creative ecosystem as a Creative City of Music.
In order to support this objective, several external experts have been selected, who will contribute to the mapping of Jamaica’s cultural and creative industries and support technical and local organization with cultural and creative sector stakeholders.
